I have rescued this piece that surely belonged to a dressing table from the late 19th century.
I found it in fairly poor condition, with some broken parts, which I rebuilt. The upper structure was very unstable, so I decided to reinforce it and add a custom-made fixed mirror. This has allowed us to restore its original shape and functionality.
To give it a more modern and fresh touch, I have removed the decorative paint and chosen a Klein blue for its new look.
In keeping with this color, a surprising detail on the inside of the drawers features wallpaper by the artist Pietro Foller, characterized by his “rabid realism.”
To finish and continue the circularity of the objects, I added some handles recovered from a junk drawer at an antique furniture store at the flea market.
